On February 11, 2021, International Symposium on rTMS Treatments 2021 will be held in Osaka Univeristy Nakanoshima Center.

The 1st International Symposium on rTMS Treatments was held on September 24, 2016 in Tetsumon Memorial Hall at Tokyo University. After that, two rTMS machines (Neurostar, H-coil) have been approved as the treatment of depression, but rTMS treatment of depression has not been popular in Japan. In USA, 60,000 depressive patients have been treated for 10 years. I would like to discuss why rTMS for depression is not popular in Japan.

The rTMS will be promising treatment for several neural diseases, for example, pain, rehabilitation, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. We would like to discuss how to expand the indications.

The new techniques of rTMS are important and interesting, and some of them will be introduced in this symposium.

Among all these exciting developments, we are pleased to host the Symposium on rTMS Treatments 2021. Japanese experts and several leaders in the field from outside Japan will give talk. We hope that you, too, will join the symposium and offer your thoughts on the latest in rTMS treatments.
